Arizona Cardinals linebacker Terrell Suggs is set to get a healthy dose of nostalgia with his team visiting the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season. It seems he is not even going to attempt to act like it will not be a big game for him.

This will be the first time in Suggs' career that he will be entering M&T Bank Stadium through the visitor's locker room. According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, he admitted that the homecoming is a big deal for him.

“When the schedule came out, I thought I would downplay it as just another game. But that would be b———- “

Suggs' comments are certainly understandable. Most players tend to try and dispel the notion of any particular games on the schedule that hold extra meaning. Then again, the veteran finds himself in a rather unique position in Week 2.

Suggs spent the first 16 years of his career as a franchise cornerstone in Baltimore. He achieved the highest honors possible by bringing home a Super Bowl and a Defensive Player of the Year award during that time. He will now become the first defender in NFL history to face a team that he played at least 16 seasons for.

In an effort to revamp the defense with young talent, the Ravens parted ways with Suggs this offseason. Regardless, there is no denying the lasting impact that he has had in Baltimore. Although his former team may find a way to acknowledge his efforts during the game, it is safe to say that he is focused on making them regret allowing him to leave.
