A report emerged earlier today that Kyler Murray might've made a bad impression with some teams at the NFL Combine over the weekend. Some people began pushing back on that report, and Murray might've impressed the only team that matters after all.

Murray was “impressive” during his interview with the Arizona Cardinals, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. There's been increasing chatter in recent days that the Cardinals plan to shop Josh Rosen and take Murray first overall. There have been many conflicting reports, but it sounds like the Cardinals genuinely like Murray.

The buzz started forming right after Kliff Kingsbury was announced as the Cardinals' new head coach. During his time at Texas Tech, Kingsbury had spoken very highly of Murray, and declared that an NFL team should take him first overall.

Now that Kingsbury is leading a team that picks first overall, many expect him to do that. Murray has leaped over Nick Bosa as the favorite in betting odds to be drafted with the first pick.

The report earlier today from Charlie Casserly, also of NFL Network, said that the feedback Casserly got from the combine included “the worst comments I ever got on a highly-rated quarterback.”

Casserly also said that Murray showed poor leadership skills, and didn't do good “board work.” Board work is where teams have prospects use a whiteboard to draw up different passing concepts and demonstrate their knowledge of the X's and O's. If the Cardinals do end up passing on Murray, it seems like he could slip a little bit.

He's the rare prospect who has an excellent chance to go first overall, but also a very good chance to fall out of the top 10. This all could be posturing by the Cardinals to try and get a team to trade up for the first pick, and we should know a lot more about their intentions soon.
