The Arizona Cardinals selected Kyler Murray with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Despite also having a chance to play in the MLB (having been drafted there too), Murray stuck with football. The quarterback didn't take long to make an impression either.

The Arizona Cardinals faced off with the Detroit Lions in Week 1 of the regular season. After a rough start to the game, Murray got rolling. The offense was struggling to get anything going, but in the fourth quarter, they scored their first touchdown of the game.

That touchdown came off the arm of Murray and into the hands of David Johnson, giving Murray his first NFL touchdown pass.

Say what you will, but this was an absolutely beautiful throw. It was also extremely clutch. If the Cardinals didn't score a touchdown on that drive, the game is likely over. They'd have been facing a pretty big deficit with under six minutes to go, that's a tough hole to climb out of, especially for a rookie quarterback.

Murray started the comeback with that pass though, and drew the game to a tie later on with his second touchdown pass – this time to Larry Fitzgerald.

Those are two pretty great names to be tossing too. Before his injury, Johnson was considered one of the best running backs in football. Many expect him to get back to that level this year. Meanwhile, Larry Fitzgerald is a legend. One of the best wide receivers of all-time and a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

Kyler Murray has some great veterans to help him grow, and he's already showing that growth (and tons of potential) in week 1.

Congrats are in order – those are the first of many touchdown passes to come.
