The Los Angeles Chargers have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last month after rattling off four straight wins that have put them in the position to earn the AFC West division title.

This has set up a primetime matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15 with division title possibly hanging in the balance. However, Jack Wang of the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that cornerback Casey Hayward's status for Sunday's game is up in the air due to a calf injury.

Hayward has been arguably one of the league's best defensive backs this season in his second campaign with the Chargers. The loss of the 28-year-old for the game could prove to be pivotal as he has been the epitome of a shutdown cornerback in 2017.

Although he is dealing with a nagging injury, Los Angeles has remained hopeful he can take the field against the Chiefs. He had been held out of practice on Thursday due to soreness in his calf that had been affecting his Achilles tendon.

If he's unable to give it a go, the Chargers will likely turn to undrafted rookie Michael Davis to get the start against Kansas City.
