In his first game back in nearly four years, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon picked up where he left off with a productive outing against the Los Angeles Chargers. Gordon was able to haul in four catches on 11 targets for 85 yards while playing primarily against Casey Hayward.

Hayward has become one of the top cornerbacks in the league this season. During a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL radio, Hayward issued some high praise toward the Browns wideout.

This is quite the compliment given that Gordon hadn't played in an NFL game in nearly four years. The fact that Hayward, who won AFC Defensive Player of the Month in November, is willing to put him above some of the best receivers in the league speaks volume.

Gordon quickly proved that he is still a highly talented player that has the ability to be a game changer in the passing game. Prior to his suspension, he strung together some highly productive campaigns, including setting the Browns' single-season records for most receiving yards (1,646), receiving yards per game (117.6), and 100-plus receiving yard games (seven) in 2013.

The only concern with Gordon is his off-the-field decision making, which led to him being indefinitely suspended from the league. If he's able to remain on the right track, there's no question he can once again reclaim his status as one of the top wide receivers in the game.
