The subject of veteran Cavs talent Kevin Love’s athleticism (or lack thereof) has been a running gag around the league for quite some time now. But after witnessing Love in training camp up close, Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Isaac Okoro says he doesn't get the joke.

Per Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor, the Auburn University alum revealed that the 32-year-old stretch forward can still throw it down with authority.

“I didn’t think Kevin Love still had bounce. He’s still getting up, still dunking right now. He surprised me with a couple dunks that he had. Caught a put-back dunk one time. That surprised me for sure.”

Isaac Okoro is perceived as one of the best athletes from the 2020 Draft class, so he certainly knows a thing or two about dunking. The 6-foot-6 swingman is expected to be a vital core for the Cavs moving forward. Kevin Love's future in Cleveland, however, remains bleak just weeks before the 2020-21 NBA campaign.

While Love was never really considered much of a leaper even during his early years in the league, he was a double-double machine for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Nowadays, the 5-time All-Star is content in firing away from deep, while throwing down the occasional hammer from time to time. He tallied 17.6 points on 45 percent shooting from the field and 37.4 from deep in his sixth season in The Land in 2019-20. Love also corralled 9.8 rebounds and dished out 3.2 dimes in 56 games.

Okoro, meanwhile, will certainly learn a lot from an NBA champion like Love this season. But he must cherish each moment under Love's guidance, considering the 6-foot-8 shooter has been linked to multiple trade rumors while with the Cavs.
