Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love made another bit of history during Thursday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs, recording the 12,000th point of his career. He has now amassed better than 12,000 points, 7,000 rebounds and 1,000 made three-pointers, making him just one of eight players in NBA history to accomplish the feat.

Love joins what the organization referred to as “rarefied air” with the milestone, now seeing his names alongside Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Antawn Jamison, Jason Kidd, Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowitzki, and Rasheed Wallace. That list is obviously not only exclusive for any player to reach, but especially so for a big man.

It has been a taxing year for Love, who appeared in just his 21st game of the season Thursday. On the heels of the franchise being completely flipped on its head following the departure of LeBron James, Love has remained as the superstar holdover from the era of NBA Finals runs. It was once King James' team, now it's Love's.

The new face of the Cavs has already compiled impressive numbers throughout his career, even so despite managing to be both just 30 years old and has missed significant time due to a myriad of injuries. In his small sample size, Love has attempted 6.9 triples per game in 2018-19, which would be a new career high, while also snagging 11.2 rebounds per contest, which would set a new best since joining Cleveland.

So long as he remains healthy, Love will likely continue to check off boxes on obscure statistical thresholds throughout the remainder of his career.
