The Cleveland Cavaliers fell in Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals and now trail the series 3-0. As every NBA fan knows, no team in the history of the league has come back from a 3-0 hole in the playoffs. That means this series is all but over, and the Golden State Warriors have their four All-Stars and a terrific defensive scheme to thank for that.

After the game, Cavs' star LeBron James was asked what makes the Warriors defense so unique, and according to Monte Pool of NBC Sports Warriors, his answer came down to just one simple word.

“Draymond.

“Draymond is a catalyst and the anchor for their defense. Very, very smart defensively. He knows pretty much every set. He kind of flies around and dictates their defense, either on the perimeter or protecting the rim as well.”

As much as Cavs fans hate to admit it, Draymond Green is the heart and soul of the Warriors, especially on the defensive end. He's averaging just 9.3 points, but contributing 7.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.0 block per game for the Warriors this series. That includes a monster defensive effort in Game 1 that saw him grab five steals, two blocked shots, and alter a whole lot of shots at the rim.

Cleveland and Golden State will play Game 4 of the Finals on Friday night at 9PM EST, where the Warriors could eliminate the Cavs and win their third NBA Championship in four years.
