Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson will not play in Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers due to a left knee contusion. Thompson most likely picked up the injury in Friday's 116-104 loss against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Thompson has played exceptionally well for the Cavs this season, averaging a career-high 12.2 points along with 10.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. The 28-year-old is also shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range.

When healthy, Thompson has been one of the most productive players on a team that has the Eastern Conference's worst record. With Thompson out, 22-year-old center Ante Zizic is expected to get more minutes off the bench for the Cavs.

Nonetheless, the Cavs will be seeking to snap their losing streak on Saturday against the Pacers. They're currently the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-42. Tipoff begins at 5:00 EST at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
