The Denver Broncos hope they found their franchise quarterback. Drew Lock impressed during his time on the field and now it is time to get him some weapons.

Courtland Sutton caught 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns in 2019. Outside of him, there was not much on the outside. The Broncos hold the No. 15 pick in the draft and they could use it on one of the talented receivers in the draft class. This prospect list is extremely deep. If there is a time to draft a receiver, it is this year.

There are teams above the Broncos that could also be in the market for a receiver. The New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, and Las Vegas Raiders are teams with a need on the outside. One of the most coveted receivers will be CeeDee Lamb. If he is on the board at No. 15, the Broncos should waste no time in adding their new weapon.

Broncos Get Young QB a New Toy

Lamb caught 62 passes at Oklahoma in 2019 for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. He averaged 21.4 yards per reception. Lamb is 6’2 and one of the fastest receivers in the league. He does not have the size to create mismatches but his speed makes up for it.

At Oklahoma, Lamb showed that he is extremely reliable. He has great hands and the ability to make contested catches. With the ball in his hands, Lamb is dangerous because he uses his elusiveness to get by tacklers. He was also a deep ball threat using his speed and route running prowess. Lamb is the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in this class. His ceiling is high once he enters the league.

Denver needs that next level player that can make their offense explosive. Lamb might not make it to Denver. It is possible that a team ahead of the Broncos takes Lamb right from under them. This would still leave the Broncos with other great options, but they might have a higher chance of becoming a bust. Lamb looks like he is ready for the next level and ready to make an immediate impact.

The Broncos know that they need to upgrade their receiving corps. If Drew Lock is going to be successful, he obviously needs receivers to throw the ball to. Denver needs to get back to the days of the early 2010’s with strong wide receivers and a good run game. This could all begin by drafting CeeDee Lamb with the 15th pick.
