Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart and center Tyler Zeller have been admitted to the New England Baptist Hospital Sunday night after a intestinal issue and a sinus problem, respectively.

Head coach Brad Stevens said both players picked up minor infections.

“Marcus, he has the bug that has been going around, the GI (gastro-intestinal) bug,” Stevens told Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald. “And then Tyler’s had an ear infection and some sinusitis for a while. He was really feeling under the weather yesterday, more so than even in the past couple of weeks, and he’s been battling for a while now. Hopefully those guys get discharged soon and are able to join us ASAP.”

Smart played 34 minutes in Friday's 117-114 win over the Miami Heat, but shot a poor 1-for-7 from the floor. Zeller did not play.

The Celtics have been fighting a fair share of injuries this season, with Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford, Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, and Kelly OIynyk all missing time at some point through the season.

Thanks to Thomas' 52-point explosion, Boston has now won seven of their last nine contests, finishing the year with a 20-14 record and sitting at third place in the Eastern Conference.
