Al Horford and the Boston Celtics were able to come away with an impressive win over the Philadelphia Sixers, 88-87.

According to Keith Smith, Horford had this to say,

“No question” it wasn't just another game for him tonight vs the 76ers: “It was a great win, considering…well…everything. Great win.”

Horford spent one season with the 76ers before they ended in what many thought was an ugly ending.

This was an impressive win for the Celtics. They did not get much help from Jaylen Brown, who seems to be nursing an injury. Horford was able to add in 10 points, eight rebounds, and an astonishing, five blocks. He has played some great basketball for his Celtics team this season. Boston is currently 12-10 on the season after their win against the Sixers.

He has played much better than many would have anticipated him to play in Boston. He did not play last season, so many people did not expect him to be much of a contributor for this Boston team. If he can continue playing this way throughout the remainder of the season, Boston could cause some problems in the playoffs. As long as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown play at a high level, Boston will be a tough team to beat come playoff time.

This was an impressive win for the Celtics. They have a tough West Coast road trip coming up where they will face off against the Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and then host the Milwaukee Bucks and the Golden State Warriors. That is seven games in a row where the are Celtics going up against championship contender.
