Boston Celtics big man Aron Baynes is having a pretty lucky NBA career. In his first three years in the league, he played under Gregg Popovich, considered to be among the all-time great coaches in history. He even got a ring in the process. Now, in his sixth year in the league, he's being coach by Brad Stevens — a premier coach in his own right. Many consider him to be a future Hall-of-Fame coach, and he's just 41 years old. And Baynes quickly noticed the similarities between the two.

As reported by ESPN, Baynes laid out the similarities between the two coaches. He first pointed out the plays that they draw up. Stevens has garnered attention for the plays his sets up after timeouts. Baynes noted that trying to absorb everything he can:

“They're both great with the X's and O's,” Baynes said of the similarities between Popovich and Stevens. “They've all figured out more than I've ever learned, so every chance I get and can see some things from them, I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

Apart from the technicalities of the game, Baynes also pointed out the composure that the two possess. When the game enters its critical points, great coaches remain calm. This is the point at which the players need encouragement:

“Their composure throughout the game is pretty much second to none. No matter what's going on on the floor, they're so composed in how they are with the team and the message that that sends through to everyone and keeps everyone calm.”
