The Boston Celtics are absolutely in that “every game means everything” part of the season. They're currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, 0.5 games back from the Indiana Pacers for fourth. Therefore, it's great news that Aron Baynes hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's match-up with the San Antonio Spurs.

Aron Baynes suffered an injury in the Boston Celtics lose to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. He's already ruled out for Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets, but now there's hope for Sunday's game.

Baynes is averaging 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game this year. He can stretch the floor and is also a tremendous bruiser down low.

The Celtics definitely could've used the physicality of Baynes against the Sixers a little more — as he was only able to play 12 minutes in the game. Having him out for the Hornets game will hurt, but that's a team they should still be able to beat without their backup center.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are a playoff team in the Western Conference and won't go down easy. With the Celtics just a half game behind the fourth spot, possibly having Baynes for that match-up will be huge.

Of course, there's the possibility that Baynes won't play as well. However, with or without the center, Boston knows that fighting back into a top-four seed is massively important to guarantee them home court advantage in the first round.
