The Boston Celtics got the 14th overall pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. However, they almost got the fourth pick, according to the team's assistant general manager Mike Zarren.

As they say, the Celtics came close but unfortunately, there was no banana. To recall, the 14th pick was acquired from the Sacramento Kings via the Philadelphia 76ers in the Markelle Fultz-Jayson Tatum deal. Boston would maintain the pick if it falls from 2-14 while the Sixers would get it if it landed at no.1.

It would be interesting to see how they'll use the 14th pick as they move forward. Rumors reveal that Kyrie Irving — their prized player — will likely head to the exit door after several disappointing campaigns.

Will they include the pick in a trade package to make a run for Anthony Davis? After all, when Davis requested a trade in January, several eyes were locked on the Celtics if they were going to make a move or not. President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge has made key moves in the past which have transformed Boston into what they are today.

However, they opted to let the trade deadline pass to see how things would develop. Now that they have a clearer view of their assets, what will Danny Ainge do to revitalize an ailing Celtics team?
