Boston Celtics fans, brace yourselves.

The Celtics fans have officially converted rookie center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract, according to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Fall can spend up to 45 days with the Celtics, but he will spend the majority of the season with the team's G League affiliate in Maine:

There were rumblings that the Celtics were opening up a spot for Fall on the roster when they turned guard Max Strus' two-way deal into a standard NBA deal.

Fall went undrafted this summer, but he signed with the Celtics prior to the start of the NBA Summer League, and he earned a non-guaranteed deal after an impressive showing in Las Vegas.

The former University of Central Florida product has won the adoration of Celtics fans everywhere after bursting onto the national scene last March, when Fall and the Knights squared off against Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA Tournament.

Although Fall will not be on the roster to start the season, he will have the opportunity to develop in the G League and potentially earn some time with the Celtics later on this season.

The Celtics lost center Al Horford to free agency and also traded Aron Baynes to the Phoenix Suns on draft night, but they appear comfortable with their current frontcourt.

Boston signed Enes Kanter and Vincent Poirier this offseason, and Robert Williams III and Daniel Theis are also on the roster.

Meanwhile, Celtics fans will hope that Fall can show enough improvement to earn a call-up.
