In the event that Kyrie Irving doesn't re-sign with the Boston Celtics, then the team might gun for Memphis Grizzlies veteran guard Mike Conley to replace him.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski via Sagar Trika of Early Bird Rights, apart from the Celtics, the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers are interested in trading for Conley:

Conley has two years left in his hefty contract. In the coming season, he's set to make $32.5 million and $34.5 million in the following. In 2021, he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

Conley, 31-years-old, had one of the best seasons of his career last year with the Grizzlies. Across 70 games, he averaged 21.1 points (a career-best), 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. He also shot 43.8 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from downtown.

His lucrative contract might put off the teams gunning for him. But Conley has built a reputation as a very underrated point guard. He offers consistency every night through his offense. And on the defensive end, the former fourth overall pick has proven his worth as he's selected to the All-Defensive Second Team back in 2013.

It's been a while since Conley's name was brought up in trade rumors. As such, it'll be an interesting summer for him and the Grizzlies.
