The Boston Celtics are one of the best teams in the league today, and they are set to get richer in the offseason. The Celtics now have at least three first-round picks in the 2019 NBA Draft.

According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, the Celtics have formally acquired the first-round pick of the Los Angeles Clippers after the latter won on Tuesday. The Clippers cruised to a 122-111 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves to clinch a playoff spot, which means that their pick will not fall within the top 14.

The Celtics, who are currently the fifth-best team in the Eastern Conference heading into the final stretch of the regular season, acquired the pick in a previous trade with the Clippers. It is top-14 protected in 2019 and also top-14 protected in 2020 if not conveyed this year.

Boston will also get the first-round pick for the Sacramento Kings. According to RealGM, a previous deal gave the Celtics the right to acquire the more favorable pick between Sacramento and Philadelphia 76ers' pick this year. As it stood, the Kings' pick will be the better one, as they are likely to miss the playoffs.

Aside from their picks from the Clippers and the Kings, the Celtics also have their own first-round pick. They could acquire another first-rounder, depending on the result of the NBA Draft Lottery in the offseason. The Celtics will get the first-round pick of the Memphis Grizzlies if it falls outside of top eight this summer.

Boston is expected to use their picks to pursue top talents, who might become available in trades this summer. They are heavily linked to Anthony Davis, who already informed the New Orleans Pelicans that he wants to be traded.
