On Monday, ESPN posted an article and video that said the Boston Celtics are the team that makes the best free agency pitches in the entire NBA, according to a recent NBA player poll. The survey was conducted by numerous ESPN reporters, with 48 anonymous NBA players from 12 different teams answering the questions about the upcoming 2018 offseason.

Although a majority of the questions asked were about Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James and his upcoming free agency decision this summer, the Celtics were voted as the best team in making free agency pitches.

Here are the following results from some NBA players when they were asked the question of which team have they heard makes the best free-agent pitches:

Celtics: 27 percent
Miami Heat: 15 percent
Los Angeles Lakers: 12 percent
Golden State Warriors: 9 percent
Other: 37 percent.

Others gaining votes: L.A. Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards.

The Celtics have recently had a high amount of success over the last two summers when it came to snagging some of the top free agents available. After they had great drafts and saved up a ton of cap space, Boston was able to sign the likes of center Al Horford and small forward Gordon Hayward in consecutive offseasons.

Will the Celtics be big players in the 2018 offseason? Probably not, considering their cap situation after they offered max contracts to both Horford and Hayward. But it's the thought that counts, as Boston has gotten a good deal of respect from players around the league on the topic of free agency pitches.

The Celtics, who have the next few days off to rest during the All-Star break, travel to take on the Detroit Pistons on Friday night at Little Caesars Arena.

This next month will be crucial for the young squad as they look to perfect their chemistry into the 2018 postseason.
