The 2021-2022 NBA schedule has been released for all teams across the league. There are some huge games for every team. For the Boston Celtics, one game that is circled is the March 13 game against the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic.

The reason? That is when they will retire Kevin Garnett's number, according to Jared Weiss, after having to wait a year to do so.

This should be an awesome game and a reunion. Jason Kidd and Garnett played together in their days with the Brooklyn Nets, and Kidd just got named as the Mavs head coach during the offseason. The storylines write themselves.

Garnett, the Celtics and NBA legend who captured a title is finally having his number tossed into the rafters with a ton of other Celtics legends.

The Celtics had planned on doing it during the previous season, but the pandemic and limited fans changed those plans, so now they will have a formal ceremony, and it should be an emotional one for one of the greatest to ever play.

Get your tickets, Celtics fans! March 13 is going to be a historic evening, and it also helps that Luka Doncic will be taking the court as one of the best young players in the NBA.
