When Dennis Schroder was signed by the Boston Celtics this offseason, many fans clowned them. After all, the guard severely underperformed for the Los Angeles Lakers… all while asking for a huge contract in the process. He was eventually let go from the Lakers and replaced by Russell Westbrook.

After a huge win against their bitter rival in the Los Angeles Lakers, one Celtics fan couldn't help but gloat about the stark difference between Westbrook and Schroder. It also just so happened that that fan was also part of the production team of NBC Sports. So, given that opportunity, he chose to do… this. (via NBC Sports Boston)

The Celtics graphics guy who's responsible for this will either get fired or get a huge raise from his bosses. No in-between.

On a serious note, Schroder's performance for the Celtics has been wildly different from Westbrook's stint with the Lakers. Prior to their matchup, the Celtics point guard has been averaging 17 points and 5 assists on decent efficiency (44% shooting, 32% from deep, 3 turnovers per game). On the other hand, Westbrook has been… well, himself for the Lakers. His stats are better than Schroder, but the eye-test has been disappointing, as he has been making game-losing plays for the team.

In the Lakers-Celtics game, Schroder got the best of Westbrook, scoring 21 points along with 6 assists and rebounds on above 50% shooting. Meanwhile, Westbrook scored only 12 points, as the Celtics dismantled the struggling Lakers, who were welcoming back LeBron James from injury.

The Lakers-Celtics rivalry is back in action, with this kind of trolling on Russell Westbrook taking place already. What will the Lakers respond with?
