It doesn't look like Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown will make his return to the lineup on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told reporters on Tuesday he “doubts” Brown's hamstring injury will heal before Thursday's big matchup versus Milwaukee.

Brown has appeared in 50 games this season for the Celtics. He’s averaging 20.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 49.0 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.
While he didn't make the All-Star team, Brown has made a huge leap in his fourth season in the NBA with the Celtics. He is averaging career highs in almost all aspects.
Brown, however, has missed the past three games due to the hamstring injury, and he might miss a couple more games before he'll be able to suit up for the Beantown team.
Many believe one of the reasons Brown is flourishing this season is because he got his contract taken care of. Brown signed a rookie-scale extension with the Celtics before the 2019-20 season started, so he’s now playing free and without any worries — turning into an elite two-way player right before everyone’s eyes.
Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge made the brilliant decision to stick with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown instead of trading them for some of the superstars who have requested trades over the past few seasons. It's worth noting that there were rumors about Boston potentially swooping in last summer to acquire Anthony Davis, but nothing materialized and Davis was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Celtics are 42-21 on the season and are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings.
