The Boston Celtics secured their second straight blowout win on Wednesday when they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 119-95. It comes just two days after the Cs dismantled their rivals Los Angeles Lakers earlier in the week.

However, even though Boston came out victorious against Ja Morant and the red-hot Grizzlies, it didn't come without a cost.

Early in the third quarter of the game, Celtics star Jayson Tatum would leave the game with an apparent groin injury.

On the bright side, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens isn't too worried about Tatum's injury. Stevens added that the 21-year-old will get tests done on Thursday to assess the severity of the injury.

Tatum has broken out in his third year as a Celtic. Entering Wednesday, the former No. 3 overall pick is averaging 21.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

Already without fellow star Jaylen Brown who missed the game due to injury, Jayson Tatum carried the Celtics to an early lead. In 26 minutes of play against Memphis, the 6-foot-8 forward put up 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

The win brings the Celtics' record to 29-14 on the season and gives the team a boost of confidence after they lost six of their last 10 games prior to Wednesday. Boston is now in the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings and are just half a game behind the Toronto Raptors in third and 1.5 games behind the Miami Heat in second.
