Despite making the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in five seasons, the Boston Celtics head into the 2017-18 NBA season with only four players remaining from last year's roster. As the Celtics prepare for their season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 17, the team's starting lineup was a question mark until now.

According to Chris Forsberg of ESPN, head coach Brad Stevens hinted at his opening night starting lineup which is expected to feature Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford:

Heading into training camp, there were two positional battles at power forward and shooting guard. While Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart were in the conversation, it appears Stevens is comfortable starting the team's lottery picks from the last two years in Brown and Tatum following preseason.

With a significant roster overhaul, it is expected to take time for the Celtics to gel together. However, with a big three finally established, the hope is they will have enough to dethrone the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference as well as the Western Conference representative in the 2018 NBA Finals.

While there are questions that need to be answered during the course of the season, the Celtics have set themselves up well for the present and future.
