The Boston Celtics suffered a 128-123 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. While Kemba Walker did everything he could to try to help the team erase a 19-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter, his efforts fell just a bit short.

Still, Brad Stevens is more than happy with the efforts his point guard is showing this season, and he wants his players to follow Kemba's lead when it comes to bringing the necessary energy every night, per Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston:

“It's not his responsibility to be responsible for everybody else’s energy, but I’m glad that he accepts it. I’m glad that he wants that. He certainly brought it tonight. He was awfully special tonight.”

Walker is a great leader for the Celtics, especially considering the state of the locker room when Kyrie Irving left the team. Walker has done a great job leading the Celtics on the court with averages of 22.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. His positive demeanor is also doing a lot to help boost the team's mood.

However, Kemba feels like he could still do more. He said he needs to lead by example and perform better on the court.

Per 98.5 The Sports Hub:

“As one of the leaders of the team, I just have to be more energized from the beginning of the game,” Walker, who downplayed the ‘pressure' term, admitted. “Just have my guys ready to go.”

It's not like Walker could do any more than what he's doing, though. Against the Bucks, he finished with a ridiculous stat line of 40 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and a block on 14-of-23 shooting. The rest of the team failed to help him keep up against Milwaukee.

Hopefully, the rest of the Celtics will be able to step up and help Kemba Walker through the remainder of the season.
