Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens completely agrees with Marcus Morris in regards to the 3-point contest during All-Star weekend in Charlotte.

Marcus Morris recently said he wants to be in the 3-point contest this year, and Brad Stevens says his small forward deserves the opportunity to participate in the event.

Morris is shooting a career-high 43.0 percent from beyond the arc this season. The swingman is 10th in the league in 3-point percentage.

Along with his high 3-point percentage, Morris is averaging 14.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for the Celtics. The eight-year veteran will become an unrestricted free agent after this season and he is setting himself up for a nice payday.

Morris signed with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports before the season began.

Phoenix Suns sharpshooter Devin Booker won the 2018 3-point contest. The participants for this year's contest have yet to be announced. The event will take place onĀ Saturday, Feb. 16 at theĀ Spectrum Center.

Marcus Morris and the Celtics are 29-18 on the season, good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Boston is on a four-game winning streak and theyĀ have high odds of extending it to five.

The Celtics host the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
