The Washington Wizards scored an upset win over the Boston Celtics on Sunday, 104-91. Celtics stud Jayson Tatum had an awful showing for the C's, which prompted a bit of consolation from Wizards All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal after the game.

When asked about Tatum's poor performance, Beal shrugged it off as just another off night for Boston's young star:

“I really don’t know,” Beal said, via Fred Katz of The Athletic. “It was just one of those nights for him. We all have them. I had one last week. … He’s a star. He let us off the hook, for sure.”

Tatum, who himself tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the season, has been nothing short of remarkable for Boston this season, and he's been one of the reasons why the Celtics are currently sitting at the fifth spot in the East. He clearly wasn't himself on Sunday, however, going 3-of-14 from the field for just six points. He did add eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal, though, so it wasn't as if it was a completely poor outing for him.

The C's are in the midst of a slump right now, though, having lost four of their last five games. Sunday's poor effort further added to their misery.

For his part, Beal was amazing for Washington on Sunday. He needed just 33 minutes to log a game-high 35 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Beal also recorded four triples, seven boards, five assists, and two steals. The Wizards have now won two of their past four contests and Sunday's huge win could be the start of something good for this struggling side.
