Charles Barkley made a guest appearance in Game 3 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Finals between the Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night. Fresh off of the NBA Finals coverage, Sir Charles decided to take a blatant shot at Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum as the Hall of Famer provided his insight on a particular play during the game.

An Avs turnover led to a goal by the Lightning, and Barkley saw it as an opportunity to throw some major shade at the Celtics All-Star:

“This a regular old Jayson Tatum turnover,” Barkley said. “”I'm sorry, just joking… I love you Jayson Tatum. I'm just joking.”

To be fair to Barkley, Tatum's turnover rate from this past postseason was unheralded. The Celtics superstar is now the not-so-proud owner of a horrendous NBA Playoffs record wherein he is the only player to have logged more than 100 turnovers throughout the postseason. That's obviously a record Tatum isn't happy about, and Barkley just had to throw it in his face.

Barkley quickly retracted his jab by apologizing to Tatum but obviously, the damage was done. That's pure savagery from Sir Charles, and I'm confident that this isn't the last time we're going to hear about this Tatum record this summer.
