The Boston Celtics are slowly pulling themselves back together following an underwhelming start this season.

On Wednesday, the Celtics managed to bounced back from the dramatic loss to the Dallas Mavericks with a 104-888 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Jayson Tatum led all Celtics scorers with his 22 points but it was Robert Williams III's 16 points and 13 rebounds (his fourth double-double this season) that stood out the most.

Overall, the C's put on quite a performance with all five starters finishing the game in double figures. Lifting the lid on what could've triggered the team's productive showing, Williams suggested that their eagerness to “bond” on and “off the court” certainly played a big part.

“I feel like we're coming together off of the court more, actually finding out stuff about each other,” Williams said postgame via NBC Sports. “We're all basketball players, we all hoop, but we've gotta build that bond, that strength of knowing I can go to war with this guy beside me — off the court, too, knowing that I can go to war with these guys.”

“I feel like we've been stepping up on that, but we've gotta carry it over all year,” he added.

It can be recalled that Marcus Smart openly criticized Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for not wanting to “pass the ball.”

Tatum was not too happy about Smart's comment but he opted to just “move on” from it.

“We still a team, we still figuring it out, we still trying to win games,” Tatum said of Smart's criticism via Mass Live. “It’s not like upset or sad about whatever. You know, it happened. I’m a big believer of whatever happened, happened. You can’t change it. Let’s move on and try to figure it out.”
