Even though he went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, center Tacko Fall became a Boston Celtics fan favorite in his Summer League appearance. The fans aren't the only ones who enjoy watching the 7-foot-7 big man ball, as Celtics president Danny Ainge praised Fall's play and said he's a “high priority” when it comes to developing him as a player (via NBC Sports Boston):

“Tacko is fun to watch,” Ainge told reporters Wednesday. “I mean, he makes me laugh. Some of the plays he makes are hilarious because you just don't see them. Guards get in a bind and they just throw the ball up in the air and then Tacko grabs it and tip-toe dunks it into the basket. It just looks like a senior in high school playing against fourth-graders sometimes out there.

“He's a great kid, he's working really hard. We want to take his development very, very seriously. He's a high priority for us to try to really develop into a player.”

Ainge is certainly right that Fall can make his opponents look like children. The giant center already has several impressive dunks that make it look like he is playing on a NERF hoop, including a 360 dunk in warmups.

Fall still has some work to do if he wants to make Boston's roster. Ainge had some encouraging words for the rookie:

“I think that Tacko's going to have a chance to make the roster. But we'll see. We see some upside there. We're excited about him.”

While he might start his career in the G League, it wouldn't be a surprise if Tacko Fall plays in the NBA at some point. His size and potential might prove to be too tantalizing for the Celtics to not even give the big man a shot to show what he can do against NBA talent.
