Boston Celtics president Danny Ainge went on the Toucher & Rich Show on Thursday morning, noting head coach Brad Stevens is “the least of [Boston’s] problems,” believing Stevens is doing everything he can to get his team on track, despite a recent four-game skid.

Ainge said Stevens is taking the losses as hard as anyone.

“He takes more responsibility than anybody, in my opinion,” said Ainge of Stevens, according to Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston.

The Celtics are unlikely to drop off from the fifth spot, still boasting a 5.5 game lead over the sixth-place Brooklyn Nets, though now 2.5 games behind the Philadelphia 76ers for fourth place and a full three games behind the Indiana Pacers for third.

Ideally, Boston would be fighting for a top-three seed, but several chemistry and rotation problems have plagued the team, resulting in this foul skid at the most unprecedented of times.

The Celtics got off to a questionable start to the season, but managed to calm the waters and navigate their way to the All-Star break, hoping their issues would be behind them. Yet they have seen only Ls in their column ince returning from the mid-February festivities, now holding a 37-25 record in a season they were expected to lead the pack with a fully healthy roster.

Prior to their skid, the Celtics had started the new calendar year a sparkling 16-6.

The schedule doesn't get any easier for Boston, facing the Houston Rockets at home this week before going on a four-game West Coast trip to face the reigning champion Golden State Warriors and three teams fighting for a playoff spot in the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings and the L.A. Clippers.
