March Madness hero Donte DiVincenzo seems to be in the radar of the Boston Celtics general manager and president Danny Ainge, as the two reportedly had lunch together following a pre-draft workout, according to Adam Zagoria of The New York Times.

Donte DiVincenzo became a breakout star in his sophomore year with the Villanova Wildcats, as he played a huge role in the Wildcats’ offense that ranked No. 1 in the nation with 86.6 points per game. He finished the regular season third on the team with 13.4 points per game on 48.1 percent shooting. He stepped it up big time in the national tournament, particularly in the Final Four matchup with Kansas and in the national title game against Michigan.

Against the Jayhawks, DiVincenzo scored 15 points with three 3-pointers. He saved his best game of the Big Dance in the Michigan game in which he exploded for 31 points on 10-for-15 shooting with five triples to lead Villanova to a 79-62 victory. DiVincenzo was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

It’s also worth noting that DiVincenzo has yet to hire an agent, meaning he still could return to Jay Wright’s program and play out his junior year in the college ranks.

As for Boston, the Celtics have the No. 27 picks in the first and second rounds of the upcoming NBA Draft, which is going to be held on June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
