Doc Rivers reminisced on the 2008 Boston Celtics squad which won the championship. 10 years later, Rivers believes that the 2008 squad has fractured and he hates every single bit of it.

As per Chris Forsberg of ESPN, Rivers said:

“Things have been fractured and I hate it. I hate seeing it. I would love this [Hall of Fame week to be a] celebration for Ray. … Ray won us a title. He really did. I think he should be celebrated. He should be celebrated in Boston.”

Doc Rivers specifically mentioned Ray Allen, who's probably the main target of the aforementioned fractured squad. To recall, back in 2012, Allen left the Celtics to join the Miami Heat and LeBron James. Allen rejected the Celtics' two-year, $12 million offer. Instead, he signed a three-year deal with the Heat — who was limited to their mini-midlevel amount of just more than $3 million per season.

The move attracted scrutiny from Celtics fans and from the players as well, especially Kevin Garnett. Various reports reveal that the two haven't patched things up ever since. A clip can be found online where Garnett intentionally ignored Allen after the latter attempted to shake hands with him. Rajon Rondo, too, hasn't spoken to Allen.

Paul Pierce, however, has already moved on. As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Allen said:

“I talked to Paul a year ago today, and we patched it out,” Allen told Charania. “So much was made about my decision, and they were upset with me because I left for Miami. But it will never change what went on between us in 2008.”
