Enes Kanter is expected to return within the next two games after dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee, league sources said. After Friday night’s game against the Knicks, Kanter will have missed the last four contests after playing on opening night. Team sources say Kanter is anxious to return but the team plans to be cautious with its starting center early in the season.

Kanter played 25 minutes against the Sixers and finished with 12 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The Celtics are 3-1 on the season. They have defeated the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks.

Kanter split time last season with the Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers. He signed a two-year, $9.7 million deal with the Celtics this summer in free agency.

With the Knicks and Blazers, Kanter averaged 13.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 67 games while shooting 54.9 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line.

In the 2019 playoffs, Kanter put up 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for Portland.
