Boston Celtics fans have found a way to recycle their old Kyrie Irving jerseys. Instead of tossing the jerseys, resourceful fans have simply converted them into Enes Kanter jerseys with a sharpie and a strip of tape.

The funny move was not lost on Kanter, who posted all the remade jerseys on his Instagram account.

Kanter is taking over Irving's number after the latter's departure to the Brooklyn Nets. The Turkish big man will be fighting for the starting center job in Boston, as Al Horford is gone and backing up Joel Embiid in Philadelphia.

The 10-year veteran is still a very productive player. In split time with the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers last season, he averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds while shooting 54.9 percent from the field.

His biggest contribution came during the Blazers' playoff run. The team picked him up to back up Jusuf Nurkic, but after a devastating injury to Nurkic, Kanter was forced to start. He responded by nearly averaging a double-double of 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds through 16 playoff games. Even more impressive was the fact that Kanter played through a shoulder injury for nearly the whole second half of the playoffs.

The Celtics will welcome the toughness and low-post scoring Kanter brings to a team. As an added bonus, many fans won't even have to buy his jersey once he becomes a Boston staple: all they need is a marker, some tape, and some resentment towards Kyrie Irving.
