The Boston Celtics finally got on the board in the Eastern Conference Finals with a wire-to-wire victory over the Miami Heat in Game 3.

In response to all the negative chatter the Celtics received between Game 2 and Saturday, Enes Kanter sent out a simple message to all the haters using a Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown GIF:

Smart offered up his own reaction to the tweet:

Boston dominated the headlines after reports of a heated tirade occurred in locker room following Game 2's heartbreaking defeat. Further reports claimed Smart and Brown were the ones going at it.

After the reports leaked, Celtics players didn't relay further information on the incident and shrugged it aside as they prepared for Game 3. It seems like the locker room altercation lit a fire under Boston.

The Celtics led for the entirety of the contest and established a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. Miami attempted to stage another comeback down the stretch. However, it was a case of too little, too late for the South Beach squad. Unlike in Games 1 and 2, Boston managed to hold on.

Four Celtics starters scored 20 points or more, with Jaylen Brown leading all Celtics scorers with 26 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. Jayson Tatum also had another terrific all-around outing with 25 points, 14 boards, and eight assists. Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart combined for 41 points on the night.

A welcome addition for the Celtics, Gordon Hayward made his return to the floor after missing over a month due to an ankle injury. The former All-Star tallied six points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in his first game back.
