Houston Rockets guard Dennis Schroder began the year with the Boston Celtics after signing a one-year deal with the franchise this past summer. Schroder played well in Boston, though his short-term contract made a long-term stay in Boston unlikely, leading to a deadline trade to Houston. On Sunday night, the Celtics advanced past the Miami Heat to earn their spot in the NBA Finals. Immediately after the win, Schroder took to Instagram to let the world know who he would be rooting for between his former team, the Celtics, and the Golden State Warriors, per Sports Illustrated.

Gee, I wonder who Schroder will be rooting for. With a massive leprechaun tattoo on his thigh, it's clear that Green Runs Deep with the former Celtics guard.

Schroder made sure to emphasize how special a group the Celtics are ahead of their NBA Finals matchup with the Warriors. They certainly showcased that in their playoff run through the Eastern Conference, as they have a perfect record following losses this postseason.

While it's unfortunate that Schroder won't get to be a part of the Celtics' potential NBA Finals victory, it's certainly admirable that he harbors no feelings of ill-will towards Boston.

Of course, the Celtics didn't do anything to warrant such feelings, though it would be human nature to at least feel some bitterness about the bad luck of the situation.

Schroder, however, will be pulling for the Celtics no matter what in these NBA Finals.
