The Boston Celtics have emerged as one of the many teams that have shown a serious interest in Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal. However, it seems that this might not push through, considering how some people from the Celtics camp feel that the Wizards would require Jayson Tatum in any potential trade deal. This is according to SI's Chris Mannix.

There has been widespread speculation about Bradley Beal, but Beal is a favorite of Wizards owner Ted Leonsis and there is a feeling among some in Boston that it would take Jayson Tatum to pry Beal loose. For what it’s worth, Beal says he has been told by Leonsis that he would not be moved.

Beal still has two years remaining on his contract, but there appears to be a lot of teams — such as the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers, to name a couple — that are willing to test Washington's resolve by asking about the 25-year-old's availability. Both Beal and the Wizards have brushed off such talk, but they just can't seem to go away.

As for the Celtics, however, it appears that Washington's reported asking price is too steep, considering how the team reportedly pulled out of the Anthony Davis deal due their unwillingness to include Tatum in a potential deal. This speaks volumes of how valuable the 20-year-old phenom is for the organization, and it seems that he remains to be Boston's cornerstone superstar for the future.
