Former NBA big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis says Kevin Durant will leave the Golden State Warriors in the summer and sign with the Boston Celtics.

Durant can become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Warriors, something he is widely expected to do since more money is available to him on the open market.

In light of all the drama going on between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant, the new prevailing thought in the league is that Durant will bolt from Golden State now.

Kevin Durant took a meeting with the Celtics back in 2016. New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady even attended to help sway KD to come to Boston. Durant ended up signing with the Warriors, but the nine-time All-Star has always spoken highly of the city of Boston and the Celtics organization.

Kevin Durant is also close friends with Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving. The two often train together in the offseason down in Miami and hang out with each other off the court as well. The Celtics are already the favorite to come out of the East this season now that LeBron James is in the Western Conference. If Boston were to add Durant in free agency, they would probably be the overwhelming favorite to win the championship, though of course there would be some financial hurdles to clear for this to actually happen.
