The Boston Celtics have seven games left in their regular season, and while they might be contemplating resting some of their key players, Gordon Hayward has made it clear he doesn't plan to rest and would rather play the last few games for Boston.

Via The Athletic's Jay King:

“I think I did a lot of that early on with my ankle and all of last year. So I’m definitely as of right now pretty good as long as I don’t get another random concussion or anything like that.”

Gordon Hayward has been working his way back from the devastating injury he suffered last season, and he has dealt with a few other injuries this season as well. He recently returned to action against the Cleveland Cavaliers after missing an entire week due to a concussion he suffered against the Atlanta Hawks on March 17.

This could be a good thing for the Celtics, as Hayward will be able to get himself ready for the playoffs. However, his ability to stay healthy and perform at a high level is still one of the biggest question marks for Boston heading into the postseason.

The Celtics have been plagued by injuries and drama all season, which has resulted in a disappointing season and the current No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference. With the playoffs just around the corner, they need all of their players 100 percent ready in hopes of a deep run.
