With his participation in his family's recent gender reveal event, Boston Celtics stud Gordon Hayward unintentionally cast himself in what is a solid front-runner for the most hilarious moment of the summer.

Hayward's rather unenthusiastic reaction has led to the birth of the latest viral catchphrase, “Daddy's always happy.”  So much so that Hayward has decided to use it as the slogan for a charity campaign that he intends to launch very soon.

For those that are feeling a bit confused at the moment, here's the original post from Hayward's wife, Robyn, which features the happy couple, their two baby girls, and the introduction of the newest addition to the Hayward family (in four months' time).

Hayward had a priceless reaction to learning about having yet another baby girl in the family. Feeling a bit outnumbered, the 28-year-old was obviously hoping that it was going to be a boy this time around. Nevertheless, he tried his best to hide his disappointment, which marked the dawn of the “Daddy's always happy” phenomenon.

Hayward made the most of a rather awkward situation. On his website, the 6-foot-8 guard explained how the idea of taking advantage of the viral video came about.

“Since the original video went viral, ‘Daddy's Always Happy' has kind of taken on a life of its own,” Hayward wrote, via Caitlyn Holroyd of The Score. “People are always saying it to me on social media or when I'm streaming on Twitch.”

“For me, it's turned into a metaphor for being a parent, and all the responsibilities that go with it. On the one hand, you're happy and blessed to have your family. On the other hand, it's challenging and surprising and hard work in ways you can't imagine before becoming a parent. But ultimately, you have to embrace it and find the happiness that's right there in front you.”

Good on Hayward for doing his bit to help those that are in need; and best wishes to the the new father of three.
