The Boston Celtics undoubtedly walked away the biggest winners of this year's NBA free agency. The addition of point guard Kyrie Irving and small forward Gordan Hayward is sure to keep the Celtics atop the Eastern Conference.

For Hayward, it has been quite the transition coming to Boston from the Utah Jazz. One thing he has already noticed is the level of fan interest his new home has for its teams, according to Brian Robb of BostonSportsJournal.com:

“What's special about here is it seems they are especially educated sports fans… they know a little more here.”

While Jazz fans may take Hayward's comments with a grain of salt, it is hard to find a more dedicated fan base than the one in Boston. With championship-caliber teams like the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, it's easy to see why the common fan may know a thing or two about them.

With that said, Hayward and Irving will have high expectations going into their first season with the Celtics. Boston managed to assemble this star-studded squad without butchering last year's roster. After a first-place finish and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, one can assume it is championship or bust this upcoming season.
