Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas remains close with his former Boston Celtics teammates and continues to roast them from time to time.

The 30-year-old two-time All-Star had some jokes for Celtics' rising star Jaylen Brown, who recently earned his first ever Eastern Conference Player of the Week citation, claiming that Brown's change of hairstyle was the reason for his stellar play.

Jaylen Brown, of course, sported a distinct flat top hair style in his three seasons in the league. The 23-year-old swingman surprised a lot of fans in the offseason when he decided to shave off his signature fro.

Brown has been ballin' for the past week for the Celtics, leading his team to a 3-0 run from December 23-29. He notched  27.0 points (on 62.2 percent shooting from the field and 57.9 percent from deep), 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steal.

He produced back-to-back 30-point plus points for the first time in his career, tallying a career high 34 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers and 30 points versus the Toronto Raptors.

Starting all 30 games for coach Brad Stevens this season, Brown has made a strong case to make his first ever All-Star team, averaging 20.6 points (51.8 percent FG, 40.0 percent 3-PT), 7.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals. The Celtics have won seven of their last 10 games and are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 22-8 slate.

Isaiah Thomas, on the other hand, is finally back and healthy after playing just 44 games in the last three seasons due to multiple injuries. He enjoyed his best years as a pro with the Celtics, making the All-Star team twice and leading Boston to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017.

Thomas is averaging 13.9 points (43 percent shooting from the field and 42.5 percent from distance) and 4.8 assists in his first season with the Wizards. Washingtin, however, is only 10-22 on the season for the third-worst record in the East.
