Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens says Jaylen Brown handled not being selected to the All-Star team well.

In 38 games this season, Brown is averaging 20.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He’s also shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 39.0 percent from beyond the arc and 74.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Many believe one of the reasons Brown is flourishing this season is because he got his contract taken care of. Brown signed a rookie-scale extension with the Celtics before the season started, so he’s playing free now and turning into an elite two-way player right before everyone’s eyes.
Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is starting to look really smart for not trading Tatum and Brown for some of the superstars who have requested trades over the past few seasons.
The Celtics appear on their way to redeeming themselves after last season’s dysfunctional campaign which saw them lose to the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs in five games.
