Boston Celtics rookie Payton Pritchard undoubtedly had the best night of his young NBA career on Monday in a 126-114 win over the Toronto Raptors. Pritchard must have been all smiles after the game. That is until Jaylen Brown decided to poke some fun at him on Instagram. In his post, the Celtics star forward revived a throwback ârunning manâ video of Pritchard showing off his dance moves.

It's no secret that Brown is a huge fan of the rookie from Oregon. Recently, the 6-foot-6 two-way wing called Pritchard the âGOATâ after their win over the Indiana Pacers last week.
Brown was certainly in a good mood, especially after Pritchard dropped a career-high 23 points in the win over the Raptors. The 26th overall pick of the 2020 draft also added eight assists, while shooting 8-of-13 from the field.
The 23-year old has certainly seen the video that Brown brought back to life. His phone also likely blew up after the video made its rounds over social media. Nonetheless, Pritchard took Brown's antics in stride.
âI havenât seen that video in a long time,â Pritchard said, via Tom Westerholm of Boston.com. âThat was from high school, the beginning of high school I believe. Obviously now, that video is going to start going around but Iâll have fun with it. I started laughing when I seen it but he put it out there so Iâm going to have to deal with it.â
Pritchard has seen increased opportunity in his debut campaign with All-Star point guard Kemba Walker out with a knee injury to the begin the season. Playing four years of college hoops, Pritchard has taken advantage of this chance and has surprisingly nabbed a spot in the Celtics rotation early in the 2020-21 campaign.
Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown has also benefited with Walker's absence and has been playing arguably the best ball of his young career. Through eight games so far, the 24-year old is averaging 26.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists, while also shooting at an ultra-efficient 57.7 percent from the field.
