Earning much bigger roles on offense this season, the Boston Celtics duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have flourished at the start of the 2019-20 NBA campaign and are a big reason behind the team's 19-7 hot start.

The up-and-coming studs etched their names in the franchise's rich history on Friday, becoming the first Celtics duo to each record 25 or more points in fewer than 30 minutes played.

Brown and Tatum joined some prestige company, as Kevin McHale (31 PTS, 24 mins) and Reggie Lewis (26 PTS, 26 mins) where the last ones to achieve the feat back  n February 1990.

The pair of athletic wings led the charge in Boston's 114-93 rout of the Detroit Pistons at the TD Garden. Brown notched 26 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting clip, to go along with five rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 29 minutes.

Tatum had the same production points wise, also tallying 26 points on 10-for-17 shooting, while also scattering five rebounds, three assists and two steals in just 27 minutes.

There were concerns early on if Brown and Tatum can co-exist on the floor at the same time, given that they play the same position while also possessing identical skillsets. Coach Brad Stevens, however, used their similarities as an advantage, banking on the pair's versatility on both ends of the floor.

Now playing alongside Kemba Walker at the point, the two has been interchangeable at the shooting guard and small forward positions, while also possessing enough size and athleticism to assume the four position when Boston opts to go for a small ball line-up.

Walker currently leads the Celtics in scoring at 22.6 per game, while Tatum (21 ppg) and Brown (19.9) are not far behind.
