Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown delivered a powerful statement on the Jacob Blake shooting during his media session on Tuesday.

Brown, who wears No. 7, says all he can think about is Blake getting shot seven times by the police whenever he sees his jersey or thinks about his number. The 23-year-old Celtics youngster had plenty more to say about the situation:

Jacob Blake is currently paralyzed from the waist down, per trial lawyer Ben Crump. The Detroit Lions canceled their Tuesday practice in response to the police shooting of Blake, and NBA players at Walt Disney World will continue to speak out about it and seek to bring justice to Blake and his family.

Jaylen Brown and the Celtics are trying to prepare for their second-round matchup against the Toronto Raptors. However, it's certainly hard for players to focus on basketball at the moment when yet another unarmed African American has been shot by the police. There have apparently been discussions about the possibility of boycotting games, which would be quite the statement by the players.

Brown participated in a few peaceful protests during the NBA hiatus and has been a leader on the social justice front. He has also been playing terrific for the Celtics at Disney World. In the Celtics' sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round, Brown averaged 21.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 37.5 minutes per game. He shot 45.0 percent from the field, 34.5 percent from beyond the arc and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.
