Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown won't play on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Brown has a left calf contusion. He suffered the injury on Tuesday versus the Houston Rockets:

The Celtics are 37-16 on the season. They are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Jaylen Brown has appeared in 44 games this season. He's averaging 20.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and 74.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Jaylen Brown will get to use the All-Star break to rest and recover.
