The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 3-0 lead on the Brooklyn Nets, prompting Kevin Durant to make some rather interesting comments.

The Nets star was vocal after the Game 3 loss claiming that he had been overthinking throughout the entire series against Boston.

Via ClutchPoints' Nets reporter Dave Early:

“[In the first 2 games] watching film a lot of my teammates were open… so I felt my approach to this game was to play off of everybody…. I was just thinking too much to be honest this whole series.”

Jaylen Brown was asked about KD's statement. The Celtics star was adamant that it wasn't worth assessing his opponent's mindset. All he can do is control what he can control and hope that Durant continues to uncharacteristically miss shots.

“Nah. We're just worried about us. Doing what we need to do. … But Kevin Durant is Kevin Durant. We're fortunate he missed some shots,” the Celtics star said.

“We're just mixing it up. Trying to make things difficult. Those guys are the best players in the world,” Brown said of Irving and Durant. “We're just trying to work, make it tough on them and live with the results.”

The Celtics are firmly in the driver's seat in the series against the Nets. But with guys like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and a returning Ben Simmons on the other side, Boston isn't going to take finishing them off lightly.
