Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown is definitely not holding back, as the 22-year-old recently posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account. Many believe that the caption he decided to go with for a seemingly innocuous and unrelated set of photos is directed towards teammate Kyrie Irving.

Check that. With how news have emerged that Irving seems intent on parting ways with Boston this summer, it's likely going to be former teammate for Brown in a couple of weeks. With Irving's move almost a certainty at this point, this is probably why Brown is so comfortable with criticizing the former Rookie of the Year winner — under the assumption, of course, that his message is indeed a shoutout for Irving.

Kyrie's differences with the Celtics organization and his teammates have been well-documented, and perhaps, Brown is confirming here what many have long suspected — that Irving is just a bad teammate. Then again, there's always two sides to every story, so it would be unfair to completely chastise Kyrie here.

For his part, Brown is coming off a so-so year, averaging 13.0 points (on 46.5 percent shooting), 1.3 three-pointers, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 25.9 minutes per contest. He saw a slight dip in production last season compared to his breakout sophomore campaign, but this is due in most part to a reduction in his playing time (he averaged 30.7 minutes per game two years ago).

However, with Kyrie out of the picture, Brown should have a bigger role for the team moving forward, and he is still widely considered as one of the cornerstones of the team for the future.
